County:
The director/administrator will assist Veterans in filing the following Federal, State and county applications.
- Burial Assistance
- Emergency base assistance, subject to eligibility guidelines.
- Food
- Grave markers are supplied to all of the veterans buried in Clarke County.
- Rent/mortgage payment
- Utilities
- Veterans Van that provides services for all veterans in Clarke County that need transportation to the Des Moines or Knoxville medical treatment centers. Veteran or family member must call 5 days in advance, with date, location and time of all appointments that day. If veteran needs an attendant, they must contact the director for information required.
